Action Alert: Support HR5111 to Correct Profound Flaws in Health Care Reform
The Catholic bishops of the U.S. have asked the faithful to write to their federal representatives asking them to co-sponsor or support House Resolution 5111. HR 5111 would remedy the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act's flaws in its treatment of abortion, conscience rights, etc. To learn more about the important message to your representative in Congress, and contact them directly, visit the NCHLA website. or call 202-224-3121 to reach your representative through the U.S. Capitol Switchboard.

The beautiful tabernacle from St Philip Neri has been installed on the new altar of repose built by Don Williams and finished by Fr. Elliott and his mother, who also refinished the existing altar as seen above.

From Fr. Elliott:

You have probably seen the beautiful tabernacle and altars. The tabernacle is from the old St. Philip Neri Church. It is quite heavy and needed an altar that could support its weight. I am so grateful to Don Williams for building the altar, which he did with such precision and care. He has started a business called Black Forest Woodworks and donated his time and talent to our parish. A special thanks to St. Charles Hardwoods for giving us below wholesale pricing on the wood products. The cost of the materials were paid for through individual donations. Don also modified the altar we have been using for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and both altars were painted to match. Thanks to Larry Slattery and Kevin Harrell for help in moving everything in place in time for our First Holy Communion Mass.
We now have a new microphone for the choir, which was donated by John Kainady and Mike Brown. It helps our choir to be heard throughout the Church.

The following is a prayer composed by St. Gianna:

My most good Jesus, God of infinite mercy, most sweet Father of our souls, and especially of the most weak, of the most miserable, of the most sick, of those souls that You carry with a special tenderness in Your divine arms, I come to ask You, thanks to the love and to the merits of Your Sacred Heart, for the grace to understand and to always do Your Holy Will, the grace to trust in You, and the grace to rest securely in time and eternity in Your divine arms filled with love.
